Creative Stoodio Flash Website
A concept that was years in the making, was finalized over coffee in a hole-in-the-wall restaurant one afternoon. The site needed to showcase the fun and outgoing personality that Creative Stoodio embodied in its designers and developers. Many of the graphic elements of the site were photographed in the studio's home town of Grand Rapids, Michigan making it identifiable with clients in the area. There were two trends that the designers loved; Retro and industrial. Combine that will hidden interactive features, you will see why Creative Stoodio's site was an addictive joy to design.
The site was divided into five sections that each has its own setting, but carries the overall theme. The settings were designed to feel as if you are zoomed into one section of a much larger picture. Since this site was not the commonly formatted website, the navigation would not standard. The concept of the floating navigation was thought of as a personal flying device, assisting the user throughout the site. It would hover into each environment, but not get in the way of the content.
The site was showcased at the 2009 ADDY Awards, winning Judges Choice and two Gold ADDY's for Interactive Flash, along with a Silver ADDY at regionals.
